The Reif brings the best live entertainment to the North.
Since opening our doors, we have connected communities across the region — drawing audiences from more than 100 miles away — through the transformative power of music, theater, dance, and visual art.
The Reif Arts Council is the 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that supports the Reif Performing Arts Center with advocacy and fundraising. The Council is an all volunteer board that includes community members, teachers and business leaders who share a love of the arts and the positive impact they have in our community.
Our primary function is presenting top-notch live arts events for the region. We are proud of the world-class performers we put on stage each year, and we make it our goal to listen to the community to find artistic balance for our performances. We strive to support local artists and look for innovative ways to collaborate with other local arts organizations, as well.
What We Offer
After a major renovation and expansion completed in spring 2016, the Reif Center is home to two distinct performance spaces: the Wilcox Theater and the intimate Ives Studio Theater. Together they host a diverse year-round program of national and international touring artists alongside beloved local performers and school groups.
Programming spans classical and contemporary dance, live music, musical theater, children's theater, comedy, and much more. Our on-site visual art gallery showcases work by local and regional artists throughout the year.
The Reif Arts Council’s mission is “Stimulating Arts in Northern Minnesota.”
The underlying principle guiding our mission is to offer a diverse mix of performing and visual arts to be experienced, exhibited and taught.
